Abandon at Susan Berko Conde Gallery, New York, NY, April 29 – June 26, 2010

Abandon is an exhibition exploring previous threads and preoccupations, whilst opening myself to new forms and materials:

I took a break from building the complex multi-year “Wappen Field” sculpture and sound installation, which began in earnest in 2007 and exhibited in 2011. The entry gallery space with the large foam sarcophagus and New York Times article screenshots focuses on political concerns, the war in Iraq & Afghanistan. The second large gallery space focuses on play, abandoning one’s self to materials at hand in the studio.
