Organized by Professor of Studio Art Jim Butler, Transparency is an exhibition presenting eight artists working in a variety of media whose works engage transparent visual phenomena. Each artist’s expressive and procedural approach is unique. The works included are made from glass, plastics, resin, photography, and video. The show provides an interaction with the beguiling nature of light and its elemental poetry.
The artists include Alexandre Arrechea, David Baumflek, Jean Blackburn, Carlos Bunga, Francis Cape, Pedro Cruz-Castro, Marcia Grostein, Hisae Ikenaga, Michelle Jaffé, Friedrich Kunath, Iván Navarro, Forrest Myers, Marc André Robinson, Courtney Smith, William Stone and Madeline Weinrib.

Its newest home is Rekagrandi, and the reason for its difference is because it is showcased in the home of Helgi Þorgils, one of Iceland's most prolific artists.
